Twelve months

** Ok, I know I’m about three months late with this post. I’m so sorry to our sweet friends and family who have been asking and waiting to see Miss Priska and her sunshine smile. Though she’s now nearing 14 months and almost a completely different child than she was at 12, I couldn’t think...

Margaret Henry - So good to read your update and see the latest photos! I’m glad you are enjoying this time with little Priska. Maybe…maybe I will get to meet her in person one day. :)

Gail - I’m SO glad I got to meet your little sweet munchkin when you visited in May. She is such a doll baby and yes, I can tell she’s grown SO much just from the time we did our shoot together! Happy belated 1 year Miss Priska!! :)

RJ - Hi Erin,

I just found your blog and really enjoyed it! I hope you and your family are well…

It’s been a while since your last post, hope you post something soon!

RJ.

Berries

Mmmm, berries! We can’t wait for berry season! So at the moment we’re tiding ourselves over with the frozen variety. Similar to my kale discovery, sometimes frozen is better than nothing. Miss Priska has been enjoying delicious blueberries and raspberries for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacktime. Healthy girl is getting her fill of antioxidants. Bring...

Margaret Henry - What about using all those juicy handprints on some fabric? (other than her sleeves…!)

April 25, 2012 - 1:42 PM

Sonda Schmidt - Are you suggesting letting the little artist have at it Margaret? Fingerpainting and Antioxidents…I think I see another article in the making Erin. And can I just ask, how crazy is life when two friends in Brown County communicate on a blog in Switzerland but don’t find time for coffee? :)

Leslie - what a cutie patootie! but where are all the pictures of YOUR red face and hands? ;-D

Ten months

My sweet, sweet girl, Priska Kay-Marie, is now 10 (1/2) months old. And I’ll begin by saying that, for me, the last two months have passed quicker than any of the others thus far. Oh my, if this is a forecast of the months, years and decades to come. *sniffle, sniffle This little angel brings...

Kay Eagleman - Wonderful recap of this little angel’s life. She is loved so much and creates love. How is that possible? Love and miss you three so much!!!

Ashlee Schnell - Hey Erin, love your blog! We have been looking into walkers and pushcarts as well. Archer had the chance to use a friend’s walker the other day and seemed to love it! I believe she is getting one for her bday that converts from walking to riding. But I’m headed to IKEA to check out their pushcart. It’s only $20 which is a steal for a wooden toy! I’ll let you know how it works for us. I’m always amazed by the toy selection over where you are so I’m hoping my cheap find doesn’t let us down.

Eight months

Eight months. Eight beautiful, adventure-filled, educational, transformational months. This is how long our sweet daughter has been with us, filling our days with so much happiness and our hearts with an abundance of joy. This girl—she is the coolest. I was saying to a friend just the other day that Priska’s fourth and fifth months...

Amber - Oh poor Priska baby having an ear infection. I totally remember the first time Arabelle had a serious fever. And boy does that girl run fevers…like 106 is not out of the ordinary. It’s one of the scarier things. But now you have survived that baby sickness and next time it won’t be quite as stressful. I can’t believe your girl is so big already! My how time flies!

February 8, 2012 - 3:59 AM

kay - She is growing by leaps and bounds! Soon she will be walking around on the furniture. Wish we were there to see it first hand but thank goodness for Skype! Priska is beautiful!

Mandyb - I miss you terribly, but love keeping up with you and miss P’s development here. You have no idea – I’m going to be referencing this when the time is right! XOXO!

February 14, 2012 - 8:49 PM

Margaret Henry - Just wanted you both to know how much fun it is to check in on your little Priska! I still can’t get over her eyes – they look like the sky in the fall.

Ah yes, all those “firsts”. The first tooth, ear infection, trip, food, naughty word (don’t worry, it will come out when you least expect it one day!),toes in the grass, the first bite of snow, etc. It REALLY does go way too fast. Enjoy, enjoy it all.

My Cadance is only 5 and already told me (when I complimented her on her nail polish) that she hoped Dominick liked the color! what?! Well it is Valentine’s Day I guess and “Love is in the Air”…

Keep taking those wonderful photos.

Gail - Oh how I just LOVE your family blog posts, Erin! I can’t believe how fast time flies! Wasn’t it just last year around this time we sat down to lunch with you guys and she was just a cute little bump under your belly? :)

PS – Not that it even needs to be said at this point, but never forget how much I want to photograph you guys!

February 15, 2012 - 11:19 PM

Lydia - Erin, she is absolute perfection! What a darling. I (of course) love her name. She’s precious and you are doing just a beautiful job!

February 17, 2012 - 6:09 PM

norma - Priska is precious, precious. I would love to be holding her right now. By the time we see her, she probably won’t tolerate holding; she’ll be off running as fast as she can. Every day a new adventure. Enjoy the moment. I know you do.
Love the photos–Gr Grandma

Six months

And we have a six month old! Six months into her life, Priska is…amazing. That’s the word I find myself using most often—talking to her, talking about her, thinking of her. She’s a smart, curious, sweet, content girl and happy as all get out. But it’s not only her brain and personality I love: those...

erik - Oh how i love these pictures. You do such a great job of capturing her love that she brings us. Every day I am surprised on how much she grows and changes, AND how much we love her. Thank you for helping to make this life happen for us! I love you!!

November 28, 2011 - 4:03 PM

Gail - OK, two things:
1) This Werner officially has baby fever. I want one of those in 2012 :)

and

2) I want that baby in front of my camera. With her parents, of course. THAT also MUST happen in 2012, ‘kay? SERIOUSLY.

November 28, 2011 - 6:46 PM

MandyB - LOVE!

Halloween, our way

Oh, Halloween. The funny holiday that’s probably as enjoyable for a non-parent as it is for a parent. I remember the Halloweens of my 20′s—planning what was sure to be the BEST collaboration with my gal pals (hello Gem and the Holograms), busting out uniforms of yore (IU Cheerleader, anyone?) or teaming up with my...
