Saturday snapshot: Stonehenge

This past weekend we found ourselves in England. Erik was there for work throughout the week so when Friday arrived Priska and I jumped on the first flight out of Basel. Since we had a few London trips under our belts we opted to explore the UK’s beautiful countryside this time, including Wiltshire, home of...

Basler Fasnacht

It’s the time of year when confetti litters our entryway floor and we fall asleep to rhythmic concoctions of piccolos and drums. Business in Basel shuts down for three days but Baselers are out and about for 72 hours of marching, socializing, cheering and partying. Adults and children alike dress bright colors and big masks....

Kayli - Gorgeous!!! Just beautiful photos. Brett and I are going to Spain –we don't know when yet, it all depends on when Orrin's papers go through (boo to slow paperwork!) but you have made me so excited!! I'm glad you had a good time!

MandyB - Love! How did we not talk about this!?

For the past few years, I've spent the Winter in a small town about 10 min. from Antequera – I've climbed up to El Torcal on my bike many times! Wild!!

And RONDA – I had a short stint there as a child, then went back to visit a few years ago… still stunning to see that bridge. I remember a guide telling me that Franco would throw people over. That and the fact that it took the Romans nearly 4 decades to finally reach and conquer the people of Ronda – they built all those bridges you cross as you switchback your way up from the Coast to the village.

There's also a fantastic cycling team based there. AHH! I'm so happy you were there.

Love you much and so happy you had another fantastic adventure! Baby Eagleman is already a fabulous traveler.

The Stelvio Pass

It was this past fall when, after lots of over time and too many hours spent traveling for work instead of pleasure, the man and I decided to take a little roadtrip. We happily accepted the offer to borrow a friend’s beautiful red Audi convertible and mapped out a short three day jaunt that took...
