This week marks the beginning of a string of endings. ‘Last suppers’ with unique groups of friends. Last days of work. Goodbye parties. Goodbyes. I’ve come to the conclusion that goodbyes will forever be difficult, any way you slice it. Whether in person or over the phone; snail mail or email; family and close friends...

Karl Eagleman - I must admit, being able to keep up to date with you guys via your blog, facebook, emails, etc., makes it SO much easier to deal with any sort of goodbyes. I’m still so thrilled for you two!

Jim Eagleman - Jim and I shopped at Aldi today. We bought Hydrangaes for $2.99 and a Red Bud tree for $15.00. Besides everything that you mentioned…..I love the randomness of some the items. Like putting little trees in your grocery Cart!!!! We miss you and it was so good talking to you today.

My New BFF

A few nights ago the man and I had the pleasure of being graciously entertained by our dear friends Miss Mandy B and Sammy Boy – so much fun! We enjoyed an evening full of delicious food including homemade Spring Rolls, Thai Curry with LOTS of veggies, tofu and spicy sauce (my stomach is growling...

I sent the Bethel pics of her to the breeder and her reply? “She’ll keep getting bigger”…. uh oh!

Gail - I’m a freak about this stuff too Erin – and I had Nick totally on my side with the switch but he recently read this Slate article so now I have a feeling some Clorox wipes are going to find a way amid our Method mix!

MandyB - I’m a Mrs. Meyer’s addict – Lavender everything! I use the clothing wash, fabric softener (all are safe and nice to my sensitive workout gear – and leave it super fresh), all-purpose cleaner and dishwasher detergent… I find that since I’m using less, the pricing is pretty comparable to the regular brands.

Gail - That is SO amazing Erin!! You’ll have to send me an e-mail and let me know the back story to the move – I’d love to hear more (gailkoch@gmail.com).

So happy for you and Erik!

Oh, I told Nick you’d commented on his “look-a-like” post and he told me you’re married to Brad Pitt. And I was like, “What? Erik doesn’t look like Brad!” But he retold the story about Erik’s trip to China and how all the Chinese people he encountered kept calling him that – hilarious!

A Little Jewel Named DUNDERDON

While perusing the streets of SoHo last weekend, our future flatmate Dodman introduced us to a very hip, up-and-coming Swedish design workshop named Dunderdon. The work-wear brand began its life in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1997 and strives ‘to create clothing for craftsmen who appreciate superior construction and smart design’. I know I’ve only shopped the...
