Italy: Eat, drink…cycle?

When I agreed to explore Tuscany with the man and our friends I knew in one way or another that what I really signed on for was a week long rump-whipping-into-shape session. For one, my traveling cohorts are not only super-athletes, but they’re also no strangers to spreading their training efforts around the world. And...

Bella Italia

Ohhh, the sunsets! Pienza at dusk Well, I’m finding it a little difficult to write about our recent trip to Italy. I’ve been sitting on these photos for a week now, patiently waiting…waiting for the right words to come, for the memories to flow from brain to fingertips and onto the screen. But nope; for...

Saturday snapshot: Out my back door

Ok, so I got ahead of myself. I posted about spring’s potential early showing here in Switzerland and what do I get? Mother Nature promptly pulls the rug, errr, green grass out from under me.Though this impromptu snow should make it easier to talk-up the seemingly balmy temps in Italy, right? Just wanted to share...

Tuesday morning musings

I arrived at work yesterday morning tired as all get out from Sunday’s long journey back to Switzerland from sunny Italy. **Eyes shift into the abyss…ahhhhh, Italy; head shakes, snaps back to reality** Ahem, more on beautiful Italy later, promise! I do believe I have about 1200 photos to go through, riding routes to map...

MandyB - Miss you already, Miss!!! Be on the lookout for something in the mail and let's skype soon to chitter-chatter about the trip!!!

You are incredible, just in case you didn't already know!!

March 2, 2010 - 2:27 PM

Gail - TUSCANY?!!! Oh woman, I cannot WAIT to see those photos, you better believe it!!!

And SO jealous of those spring sprouts. Still drab and wintry here. I'm TRYING to adhere to your motto of loving each season, but when you get to the bottom dregs of each one, you're ready to move on already!

March 2, 2010 - 4:26 PM

RyanB - I'm chomping at the bit for those Italia pics.

Deutsch looks/sounds great (that cover pic is extremely elegant). I have a new appreciation for the uber-chic, over-sized, semi-published, book-a-zines I see at Boarders. Generally speaking, their art direction, layout, and photography are impeccable. I struggle, as a consumer, to see their “point,” but I defiantly find inspiration in them (maybe that’s the point, I don’t know).

Anyway… We miss you guys, very much. In my make-believe world, we would jet-off to Alps and spend some quality time with our Eagleman family; but alas, we’re here and you guys are there :( .

Keep us updated on life and whatnot and post those Tuscany pics ASAP (no pressure).
