Round two: Baby got front

Good morning! Ok, so in my opinion this is where it starts to get fun and the bump changes become even more apparent. As I look back at the first four belly shots, weeks 19 – 22, I’m reminded of how tiny our little Eaglet was. Not to mention, um, I’m tiny. It’s amazing what...

Gene and Annie - I love week 24 pics!! Such a cute dress and you are for sure "glowing"!! You have to be one of the cutest pregnant ladies ever!! I totally remember the whole breathing thing, which I think was the worst with Grace. No matter how hard pregnancy can be sometimes, it's the such an awesome thing!! Just wait till that baby is in your arms and the thought comes to you that he/she was in your belly for 9 months!! Amazing!!

Nicole - Simply awesome. You are doing a great job with this project. It must be so much fun. And the maternity clothes – great! Where do you shop for them? As usual, great Erin style! I love the green dress in the previous blog.

S. McLeran - oooh, I hear you on the sciatic nerve pain – I didn't have it at all with Gus, but I've got it now. I have to say though, I'd take it any day over the first trimester nausea. I find that exercise and stretching really helps. …and I have to second that comment about the awesome maternity clothes – Ian and I were saying that it looks like you are modeling someone's new maternity line – the photos are great btw! You're making me think that maybe I should start wearing more dresses…or at least tunics and leggings because I can't keep a pair of maternity jeans from falling down no matter what i do. ;)

The Life of Me - Let me just say I love every outfit you are wearing in each picture! You are just too cute. I am with Annie I like week 24. Ummm and the dress!! Do they make one to fit me…who is not pregnant. :-) I love being able to see you as your belly grows. I remember not being able to breath and the nerve pain. I had both going on with the kiddos. Arabelle especially made the breathing difficult. You are almost there!!

April 5, 2011 - 8:11 AM

Erin - thank you, thank you for all these sweet comments! a quickie about the clothes – nothing that i've worn in the photos so far has been maternity. i was lucky enough to have dresses and tops on hand that worked with a preggo belly. these few remaining weeks, though…little fits and i feel like i'm wearing the same tshirt and leggings every day. :)

My sweet man & a Spring day

The season is quickly turning to spring here in Basel and Erik and I have been soaking up our fair share of the lovely weather. Bike rides, walks around town, you name it and we’re there. Spring couldn’t have come at a better time, either, as I can no longer zip my winter coat over...

Gene and Annie - I was just thinking the other day how great of a father he will be!! This sweet baby is super duper lucky to have you guys as parents!!

Round one: Baby on the brain

For the last month I’ve been able to think of little else than this growing human inside of me. I was blessed with a pretty good first trimester; no morning sickness to report and few cravings except meat (my body wanted protein!), citrus fruits (juicy!) and sweet sugary cereals (which we never have in the...

Saturday snapshot

Just look at those, would ‘ya? Nothing better than the smell of warm cookies baking on a cool, rainy evening. On second thought, after biting into a piping hot Snickerdoodle made by cookie extraordinaire, Erik, taste trumps smell. Agreed? Agreed! In case you’re interested here’s the delish recipe he used. Nom, nom, nom… Hope y’all...

Para dónde van? Málaga!

Plaza de Naranjas – Marbella, Spain A few weeks ago four friends prepared to set off on an adventure to explore a part of the world previously unknown to each of them. Twenty four hours before the trip the clan dwindled to three; an hour before departure it was down to two; and then, upon...

Kayli - Gorgeous!!! Just beautiful photos. Brett and I are going to Spain –we don't know when yet, it all depends on when Orrin's papers go through (boo to slow paperwork!) but you have made me so excited!! I'm glad you had a good time!

March 15, 2011 - 11:45 PM

MandyB - Love! How did we not talk about this!?

For the past few years, I've spent the Winter in a small town about 10 min. from Antequera – I've climbed up to El Torcal on my bike many times! Wild!!

And RONDA – I had a short stint there as a child, then went back to visit a few years ago… still stunning to see that bridge. I remember a guide telling me that Franco would throw people over. That and the fact that it took the Romans nearly 4 decades to finally reach and conquer the people of Ronda – they built all those bridges you cross as you switchback your way up from the Coast to the village.

There's also a fantastic cycling team based there. AHH! I'm so happy you were there.

Love you much and so happy you had another fantastic adventure! Baby Eagleman is already a fabulous traveler.

March 17, 2011 - 8:46 PM

Gail - BEAUTIFUL! I love that shot of your friends with the surf in front of them… WOW to that dramatic scenery!
