Inauguration Day

Happy Inauguration Day! Here’s a repeat quote from yesterday, as I think it is particularly fitting today. (I should have saved it!)

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. “
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Barak Obama has been sworn in as our 44th President at a time when the United States is experiencing great turmoil and economic depression. My thoughts and prayers are with President Obama, as well as his family, as he accepts our arduous challenges, settles our unruly controversies and works to bring multitudes of comfort in all forms to the great people of this great nation. It will be difficult, but I have to believe that today is a step in the right direction.

“Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time; but know this, America—they will be met.”
-President Barak Obama
